Spell points are an alternate method for spell casting management in D&D 5th Edition. Traditionally, players would manage a magic-using character's castings with a concept called "spell slots." Spell slots are easy to use but less flexible. Spell points enhance a player's ability to decide how magical energy will be applied; do you want to spend all your energy on a smaller number of more powerful castings, or do you wish to apply many weaker spells to a complex problem? Somewhere in between? Spell points are your answer — and this calculator will help you use them with ease. Enjoy!
